What custom AI development costs in Dubai—and what changes the scope

A responsible estimate begins with the system around the model. Two projects described as an “AI assistant” can have very different integration, access and operating requirements.

The interface is not the entire scope.

A chat interface over a small approved document collection is a different product from an assistant that reads several systems, drafts commercial responses and updates a CRM. The second needs identity, tool permissions, integration work, action validation and recovery behaviour.

Bithart does not publish a universal project price because it would conceal those differences. A useful proposal should state the workflow, users, sources, integrations, acceptance criteria and delivery responsibilities before assigning a commercial scope.

The variables that change the build.

Information readiness matters. Clean, owned and current documents are easier to work with than scanned files with unclear permissions and competing versions. Integrations also vary: a documented API with suitable access is a different starting point from a legacy interface that somebody must maintain manually.

  • The number and complexity of workflows, users and roles.
  • Data preparation, source ownership and permission requirements.
  • Interfaces, integrations and the consequences of a failed action.
  • Evaluation, deployment, security review and recovery requirements.
  • Training, handover and ongoing support responsibilities.
Ask what the estimate includes, what remains uncertain and who pays to operate the system after launch.

Separate build cost from operating cost.

A delivery proposal should distinguish implementation from the services needed to run it. Those may include hosting, model usage, search or storage, monitoring and integration maintenance. Volume, document size, response requirements and model choice can all change the operating profile.

Ask what happens when a provider changes an API, an internal document collection grows or the team wants a new workflow. A lower initial build cost can shift work into operation rather than remove it. The comparison should cover the period and usage pattern that matter to your business.

Reduce uncertainty before asking for certainty.

Bring a small collection of representative tasks, the systems involved and a named workflow owner. A scoped discovery can inspect the riskiest dependency before the main build is priced. If an integration or data source is uncertain, a limited technical test may be the most useful early deliverable.

Compare proposals on their assumptions and exclusions as carefully as their headline amount. The result should be a first release you can explain, evaluate and operate—not a long list of features whose dependencies remain unresolved.
